Two less well known fells this week - Brandreth at the head of Ennerdale, overshadowed by Haystacks and Great Gable and Brim Fell, overshadowed by the Old Man of Coniston.

Walk from Hawkshead to Black Crag

The walk from Hawkshead to Black Crag takes us past Tarn Howes to a splendid viewpoint, especially for Little Langdale, which is seen at full length.

Church of St Michael's, Coxwold

The church of St Michael's, Coxwold, sits at the western end of the village. The current church was built in 1420-30 and is an unusually elegant church for the area, with a most impressive octagonal tower.

Bow Fell and Bowness Knott

Once again we cover very different fells, this time the impressive Bow Fell and the lovely Bowness Knott overlooking Ennerdale.
